9/11 Revisited

The photograph that I picked for the rule of lines is the man jumping from the building and the background is the building and it has lines.  The rule of simplicity is the man covering his face with a towel or with something for him not to breath in the smoke and just live. I can tell that's what he's doing because their is nothing else in the photograph that indicates otherwise. The rule of framing is the firefighter going on the ladder and there's like nothing else in it but it's framing the firefighter out of everything else. The rule of balance is the building getting hit.  I choose this photo to show that the building is the main thing that is happening and the main thing that pops out. The rule of thirds is another photo of the building getting hit but it's in a different angle and it's the rule of thirds composition. The rule if Avoiding Merges is the firefighter trying to go up the stairs to go help people. I actually don't know why I chos

Academic Shoot Reflection and Critique

1.The challenges that I encountered while trying to follow the rules that I gave myself was getting in peoples faces and them getting mad and actually having to stand a certain way to get the perfect angle. I didn't have to get on the floor , thank god but it was hard to get them. 2.I was mostly thinking about the focus and the framing just getting the picture the way I wanted it. I like holding the camera a way that the photo looks good, like holding it tight and making sure I don't move. 3. What I would do differently make sure the room has enough lighting and if not I would ask the teacher or whoever is in charge to please turn on the light to get great photos. I always move before it actually takes the picture so it maybe a little blurry. Maybe go into more classrooms like 3 or so. 4. I would still get in peoples faces to get the photo the way I want it. Ask for permission to shoot in classroom. But other than that just have fun shooting. 5. The easiest rule to ac

Academic Post Shoot Reflection and Peer Reflection

1. I followed the rule of thirds, balance, and,  simplicity. 2. Students are doing their work and being focused. 3. It's clear that the students are focused and working because they aren't looking at the camera and they look focused to me. 4.What I could have done differently is probably just shoot better and make them look more convincing that they are working.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

Image
A. What are the main points you read about in the website above regarding manipulating images ? Manipulating an image is all about taking the image and changing the original of the image. B. What is the philosophy of newspapers like the Washington Post and the New York regarding image manipulation? They provide photographers with strict guidelines on how to shoot and edit their photographs. C. What do you think are acceptable things you could do to an image and not cross the line unto an unethical manipulation ? Changing the background to how you see it the best to bring more attention to the point of the image what the image represents. Make the important information stand out. D. I think the image is so unethical because it really doesn't show the importance and I don't think it;s standing out. The lettering should be the background so it would the man would stand out, the man should be more visible. E. This image is the least unethical because I can tel

Post Shoot Reflection

1.What challenges did you encounter while trying to get the photos of your first 4 prompts Well I really had to get the right angle, the lighting, the focus and sometimes got to get on the floor or un top of something to get it right. 2.What technical aspects of photography did you find yourself thinking about the most? I was mostly thinking about the focus and the framing just getting the picture the way I wanted it. 3. If you could do the assignment again, what would you do differently now that you know some basic rules of photography? I would hold the camera better and try to get the camera to work with me, and actually press buttons when I know what they do. 4. What things would you do the same? I would still hold the camera right, press the shoot button when I'm ready and think I'm going to get a great picture. 5.I actually think I didn't achieve anything but yeah. 6.Are you interested in shooting  those same prompts again, why? It was fun shooting

The Story  The story here is that School can actually be fun at sometime, is not just about working on assignments, homework and projects it can be fun. Action and Emotion  The action is graduating and the emotion is happiness and probably sadness because of graduating. Filling The Frame   The frame is filled with interesting photos like how you can take them and different perspectives and point of view. This photo shows a young man writing on a visible screen with a dry erase marker. And it's titled "Quantum Mechanics" 1. I picked this photo because it shows him working hard but I don't really know what Quantum Mechanics is , but it looks interesting. 2. This photo shows simplicity and maybe balance 1. I think I could take photos in any math classes or like any class that is doing something interesting. 2. I would like to take pictures in teachers classes that I know and that actually does work. 3. What I would do to to take good ph

I picked this picture because it's the only one that I am in. I like this picture because it's actually focused and you can see what there is and I think is good caulity but maybe not. One thing I didn't like is that the reflection looks weird, and the mirror thingy is so dirty. I just want to learn how to take better pictures like focusing in the right ways or something like that. Ha I didn't like the people coming out in the background. I picked this picture because I like how I took it, the view is amazing. I like the trees and the roof of the building. You can actually see from far what there is in the courtyard, you can see if there is people or not sitting on the tables. I also liked the way it looks like the coloring of the picture, I like that it's actually focused. I picked this picture because I think it looks amazing the background and the lightning looks good. I think it's not too dark , not too light and it's not blurry. I like the tr

The Camera

1. The Camera obsucura is when in a dark room ,a tiny hole is created in one wall. Through the hole light is focused, and the outside scene is projected , and its upside down on the opposite wall. The hole was like a lens, focusing and projecting light onto the wall. 2. The lenses and optics were invented in the 17th century 3. Joseph Nicéphore Niépce added the film to create a camera: glass lens, a dark box, and film. 4. New cameras are easy to use, just point and shoot. The camera's built-in computer handles focus and exposure so you don't have to 5.  Digital cameras capture the images with an electronic sensor called a CCD. 6. T he auto mode, the camera will completely control flash and exposure. The program mode is  automatic-assist, just point and shoot. 7. The Portrait mode is used to blur out the background, camera will try to use the fastest available lens setting. 8.  The Sports mode is used to freeze motion, the camera will use the highest shutter speed p
