Tina Modotti
Tina Modotti was a black and white Italian photographer, actress and revolutionary political activist. Modotti was born August 16, 1896 in Udine, Friuli, Italy, later died January 6, 1942 in Mexico City, Mexico. When Tina was 16 she immigrated to the United States where she went with her father in San Francisco. She had died from heart failure in 1942. In Mexico, she became the photographer of choice for the blossoming women mural movement.
