My Opinion Story
School Shootings are happening lately and they have to be stopped. Guns are not a good solution for violence, abuse or harassment, making it worse is not an option. A school shooting took place in Parkland Florida on February 14, 2018, with 17 number of deaths and students injured mentally. Our President, Donald Trump wants everyone to be armed and ready for anything.
If Donald Trump wants every school and their staff to carry guns then they should make it a military school, that's not what people want. Trump has his own say, he's the president right, " Highly trained teachers would also serve as a deterrent to the cowards that do this. Far more assets at much less cost than guards. A “gun free” school is a magnet for bad people. ATTACKS WOULD END!
Attacks would end but it would be less safer for the kids and the parents would not want their kids to be around guns. Being safe is something that everyone struggles with these days and it's been getting a lot worse. Yes, a gun can stop a robber, an injustice but it may not be able to stop a death, it causes it .
But having teachers, the school, and all the staff members caring a gun is not the way to go, that doesn't prevent the shooter from taking its own and others life. The reason these shootings are happening is because of the gun control that's not really under control. Kids at the age of 14 and older are not allowed to be carrying a gun, not even if it's for protection.
If you think about it, saying that you want less violence and less gun use but enforcing them, is that really helping the statement. Ask everyone that has been in a shooting, involved in an assault of any kind including any kind of weapon, they will say the same thing. Guns are not supposed to be handed to people for them to be used like toys.
It's not fair for the kids to go through this grief and pain, physically or mentally. It could take a long time a lot of adventures to get over what's on someone when this kind of things happen. Having innocent citizens walking around and thinking that at any time they could be shot. Parents worried sick while their kids are at school, is that what gun control does?.
