1.This is La Pedrera and it was made in spain and the building started in 1906 and was completed four years later. This building was made by architect Antoni Gaudí, this is not a private building you can go visit it, by tickets and everything. The architect Gaudí, was hired by a man to build their house. I picked this building because it sounded interesting and I like Spain, I have never been to Spain but one day I would like to go. Spain is so different than other places, they have stuff in Spain, they do beautiful stuff, and it so amazing that is so different.
2. This building is a little different than the others, looks a little weird but maybe fun to be in. This is the Nautilus House in Mexico and the shell shaped house was designed by Mexican architect Javier Senosiain. Javier had the idea that buildings based tradition and cultural roots, in turn creating harmony with nature, and he was inspired by Gaudis work. This house was made because one family was tired of living in a boring and they wanted something different. The building was later Completed in 2007, for the family to finally live in the house that they could call home and be happy in it. I choose this building because it was from Mexico, and Mexico doesn't really have a lot of buildings like this one, the buildings are old but not ugly. I never knew this building existed and it was in Mexico, I go to Mexico for summer and for holidays.
3. This is the Nord LB building and it's located in Germany. The building was made by architects Günther Behnisch and Behnisch Architekten, started in 1997 and finished 2002. This building is a public corporation owned by federal States. I picked this building because it's different and it looks kind of scary, if I would ever go to Germany, I would never go inside that building because it looks like it could collapse at any minute. The building is pretty big and really weird build.
4. The Guggenheim Museum, is a building in Spain and built by architect Frank Gehry. This building is a museum so you can visit whenever you like , the museum represents an architectural landmark of audacious configuration and innovating design, providing a seductive backdrop for the art exhibited in it. I picked this building because it's a museum and it's the first one that i found or that I know it says museum .
5. These are called Cubic Houses and are located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. This is a public place so you can go visit. The architect who built this was Piet Blom and it was opened 1977. The central idea of the cube houses around the world is mainly optimizing the space, as a house, to a better distribution of the rooms inside. I picked this kind of building because I didn't know that there was cubic houses. These houses look really cool and scary I feel like they would fall and be destroyed if anyone lives there.
